Following the successful delivery of CEAT Tyres’ state-of-the-art R&D centre in Ambernath, Beyond Design was commissioned to extend the company’s existing research and development facilities in Halol, India. The project introduces a carefully designed infill building positioned between two existing office blocks, developed following extensive sustainability, feasibility and operational flow studies.

The new volume is conceived as a physical and narrative bridge between past and future, reflecting CEAT’s journey while responding sensitively to the existing architectural language through its façade and massing. The intervention minimises additional built volume while accommodating key programme requirements, including new workstations, a library, auditorium and recreational spaces.

The scheme integrates old and new through a reorganisation of the existing buildings alongside the new extension, optimising spatial efficiency and connectivity across the campus. At ground level, the new building introduces a generous cafeteria and exhibition space, creating a shared social and representational heart for the facility.
Internally, a sequence of double-height spaces connects different levels, supporting informal interaction through strategically placed meeting rooms and pantries. A light material palette combined with integrated planting establishes a contemporary, functional and welcoming working environment.

Together, the architecture and interiors articulate a renewed identity for CEAT Tyres, reinforcing its ambition to be recognised as a global leader not only in manufacturing, but also in workplace quality and innovation.
