Ola HQ Leadership Floor
The OLA Leadership Office serves as the management hub for the OLA Group of companies, occupying a single 45,000 sqft floor plate within their Bengaluru headquarters. Beyond Design was appointed to translate the company’s operational and cultural ambitions into a cohesive, functional environment that supports leadership, collaboration, and reflection. The office is conceived as a layered combination of open office areas, private leadership cabins, meeting rooms and a central leadership café, complemented by specialised spaces such as material workshops, think-labs and informal collaboration zones. These interventions were designed to encourage collective learning and foster a culture of shared thought, ensuring the office is not merely a workspace but a dynamic environment where ideas can be explored, tested and refined.

The floor plan was carefully zoned to accommodate multiple levels of privacy and data security, while simultaneously fostering moments of intersection and inspiration. Spaces such as the leadership square, leadership café and exhibition areas were positioned as natural convergence points, allowing informal encounters and cross-pollination between teams. This thoughtful balance between openness and security reflects Beyond Design’s strategic approach to spatial planning, where circulation, adjacency and visibility are orchestrated to support both functional needs and organisational culture. By carefully integrating these moments of connection, the design reinforces the group’s ethos of collaboration without compromising operational efficiency.
The arrival experience sets the tone for the office and the organisation it represents. Visitors are welcomed into a sculptural metal installation of the company’s manifesto in the lobby, providing a moment to absorb OLA’s vision and legacy. Amphitheatre-style steps leading towards the installation create a pause for reflection and spatial orientation, while the adjacent leadership café opens onto scenic views of Bengaluru’s greenery, offering a sense of openness and vitality. Across the lobby, the leadership square functions as both an exhibition space and an informal meeting area, guiding visitors and staff through the narrative of the company while providing collaborative touchpoints. Leadership cabins are positioned along the periphery, maximising access to daylight and views, while supporting focused work and private discussions.
Materials and detailing throughout the office are understated, minimal and carefully considered, reflecting the client’s commitment to function over form. Clean lines and restrained finishes create uncluttered environments that enhance legibility and spatial clarity, allowing the multiple arms of the group to coexist harmoniously within a single floor plate. Support spaces—including the boardroom, executive dining, secure work areas, phone booths, pantries and library spaces—are designed to integrate seamlessly with the larger office while supporting diverse modes of work. Every aspect of the design, from the material palette to the organisation of circulation, demonstrates Beyond Design’s value in translating complex organisational requirements into a unified, functional, and thoughtfully articulated workplace.
